Physics@Veldhoven, which is hosted by NWO (Dutch Research Council) each year, is the largest physics conference in the Netherlands. The entire physics community comes together during the event to network, exchange results and discuss partnerships.

Because the conference had to take place online this year due to COVID, Faber, NEP, MediaMonks and La Plume Media joined forces to create a magical virtual event centering around the theme: ‘The Magic of Physics’! More than sixteen hundred participants were able to walk around in a virtual fantasy world, designed by MediaMonks, and attend lectures by speakers on various stages.

La Plume Media also provided the script and directed the various events on the main stage. In addition, the virtual event included breakout sessions, panel discussions, workshops and networking opportunities with sponsors and colleagues. In short: everything you would expect from a physical conference – but virtual!
