Testimonials

Bob – Directeur Winkels & Franchise, Gall & Gall
Our collaboration with La Plume started during the challenging period of the pandemic. We were facing internal issues that no one had an answer to, and that’s where La Plume came in! We entered the cooperation with a spirit of openness. La Plume’s approachability, high level of creativity and can-do mentality exceeded all our expectations. La Plume’s staff immediately felt like an extension of our own team, with contagious enthusiasm and the talent to communicate complex ideas in simple and creative ways.
Together we looked for ways to foster connections between all layers of our company. During Corona we did this with Gall & Gall Live; an internal TV broadcast in which we caught up with our remote colleagues in an interactive and dynamic way from an entirely dressed-up studio. Even after corona, we continued to stay connected with the help of La Plume Media! We launched Gall & Gall News for example. Every month the head office gives updates to shop employees. And as icing on the cake, La Plume Media has organized our Gall & Gall Goed Genieten Sessies for many years; a four-day event spread across various locations in the Netherlands. During the event, all our store employees taste the latest flavours from our suppliers, and learn the stories behind our drinks in workshops, so that they can advise our customers even better.
Whether I would choose La Plume again? Absolutely! Their personal approach, decisiveness and unique way of working with all capacities in-house make La Plume Media stand out in their field of internal communication. I cannot imagine finding this in any other company anytime soon.
So, if you are considering a collaboration with La Plume, I have but one piece of advice: do it!”

Ellen Smit – Sr. Manager Healthcare Solutions at Ferring Nederland
“As a patient-driven pharmaceutical company, we don’t just develop medicines; we also think about how these medicines can be used in the best possible way and in a manner that is pleasant for patients. La Plume Media helps us both to convey this message and to achieve our underlying objectives. One of the ways we try to serve healthcare is by publishing various magazines. And who better to help us with this than La Plume Media?
For years, we’ve been collaborating on ‘MDL-Life,’ a free lifestyle magazine for people with chronic bowel inflammations. With this magazine, we show patients what is possible in life despite their illness. Additionally, for doctors and nurse specialists in fertility care, we create a magazine that puts the patient first: ‘FertiFocus.’
We’ve also published a similar magazine for endocrinology: ‘Het Relaas.’ All target groups react very positively to the magazines. I am personally filled with pride every time I hold a beautiful magazine in my hands after months of collaboration!
In addition to these magazines, La Plume has supported us with internal communication, for example, with a newsletter to connect employees from different countries. My colleagues and I really enjoy working with La Plume on these projects because everything is taken care of from A to Z. The people at La Plume are professional, offer critical insights, and communicate openly and honestly about deadlines. I can’t wait for many more great projects!!”

Ype van der Heide – Senior Project Manager at VIXY Live
“VIXY Live offers livestreaming for events and corporate communication, including fully equipped corporate studios. While our company has changed names several times and our offerings are constantly evolving, our collaboration with La Plume Media has been a constant for almost fifteen years. Together, we have successfully completed countless productions for clients such as ING, ABN-AMRO, CGI, GLS, the Tax Authorities, CNV Education, pension fund ABP, and Gall & Gall.
Especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, La Plume Media and VIXY Live—at the time called NEP—executed groundbreaking projects. The most memorable of these was undoubtedly the ASML Technology Conference. Due to the lockdown, we had to organize a completely online event from scratch in just a few months. The mission was a success because, thanks in part to a fantastic virtual set in a large green studio, thousands of ASML employees experienced the conference interactively. It was as if they were right there! Events like this show that the substantive and creative power of La Plume Media and the technology and streaming facilities of VIXY Live form a powerful combination.
There is great mutual trust, and we know exactly what to expect from each other. Moreover, we have a lot of fun together! I remember, for example, the celebratory dance Veerle, Gert-Jan, and I shared with the client after everything came together perfectly during the event following weeks of hard work. These are the moments that make our collaboration so enjoyable. I hope we continue working together for many more years, because La Plume Media, I love you guys!”

Frank Cocx – Former CFO of Intertoys and later of Blokker and currently CFO of Lucas Bols
“My collaboration with La Plume Media began when we decided to merge Bart Smit and Intertoys. La Plume team member Veerle and I were part of the Transformation Team that supervised this process. Merging competing brands, companies and cultures is a tricky process that needs to be handled carefully, so La Plume Media’s expertise came in handy to help this change ‘land’ and take root. Even after the merger, the team at La Plume handled key components of communications and events: from internal newsletters, videos and staff magazines to franchise meetings, a supplier appreciation day and manager training days. When Intertoys was sold, I found myself working closely with La Plume again. As CFO, alongside the CEO, I was responsible for both the sale and the associated communications strategy. You can imagine that this was a hectic and stressful period so it was great to have the La Plume Media team at your side. Their dynamic team is able to draw up a militaristic communications plan and will then make sure that it is realized. The La Plume team always think two steps ahead and know how to turn a situation around for the better – with a smile and a sense of humor at just the right moment. Their ability to take all the various issues off my hands left a huge impression on me. This is one of the reasons why I partnered up with La Plume again in my role as CFO of Blokker. La Plume Media always strives for the highest achievable goal and has effective communications strategies and successful events to show for it. I’m happy to state that Veerle adds genuine value when she and her team come in to consult with a company.”

Susanne ter Wal – Former Communications Manager at Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods, currently Communications Advisor internal and change communications Department HRM at Police
“La Plume Media is a creative and versatile bunch of people with unbelievable expertise and contagious energy. For years now, La Plume has provided continuity and progress in our communications. Vreugdenhil Dairy Foods itself has a small communication department that sets the guidelines. The work that results from this is then picked up by the La Plume Media team. La Plume has all disciplines in-house, which allows them to provide every imaginable means of communication. The La Plume’ers do not simply execute what is asked, but provide input, remain critical and come up with interesting suggestions. This ensures that, time and again, the results are more exciting and surprising than we could have imagined. And not just that! You know for sure that the intended purpose is achieved and the right message is conveyed. What I also really like is that we have one point of contact, are always helped quickly and get personal attention. In addition, the team is very flexible and they bring humor to the table at the right moments. This makes for a business relationship with a wink. In short, La Plume Media combines the personal, creative and businesslike, and delivers quality. Without a doubt, we recommend them!”

David Brand – Manager Communications & Community
“In 2021, Horticoop began a transition from a purchasing cooperative to an investment cooperative. This meant we had a lot of explaining to do for our members. We were looking for a partner who could help us translate our business strategy into a communication strategy and also execute it. That’s what led us to La Plume Media. From the very first meeting, I felt a connection with the La Plume team. We started our intensive communication process with full force, and the official kick-off at our members’ day made a huge impression.
Unfortunately, the pandemic threw a wrench in the works, forcing us to hold our carefully planned event digitally at the last minute. It was a complete pivot, and La Plume assisted us with advice and action. We more than made up for it six months later with a memorable event at the KNVB.
Looking back on the past two years, the great collaboration is what I remember most. Together, we achieved a lot. Before La Plume came on board, Horticoop had low visibility, both in the market and among our members. Now, look at us! We succeeded in making our changes well-known and, in doing so, increased Horticoop’s visibility among members and potential partners. We achieved our desired outcome in a very pleasant way. That’s what defines La Plume: human, flexible, and without a need to prove themselves. As a result, I don’t see the people at La Plume as a supplier, but as a collaborative partner for tackling challenges. The next challenge? To continue building our community. It’s a challenge I look forward to with confidence!”

Milo Kars – Formerly Managing Director GLS Netherlands, now Managing Director GLS International
“GLS Netherlands provides parcel and pallet distribution throughout Europe. Since 2022, La Plume Media has been helping us create more engagement from our internal stakeholders with the company and the products we deliver. Together with La Plume, we’ve launched many new forms of communication. For example, we now have a beautiful employee magazine and a monthly newsletter. The newsletter includes various videos on current topics. For the video shoots, which always feature different GLS employees, La Plume arranges everything: scripts, schedules, direction, editing, and post-production. It’s a lot of fun to experience a filming day and be taken care of!
Over the past year, with La Plume’s help, our information offerings have not only become much more extensive but also a lot more structured. We’re receiving great feedback from employees and clearly notice that they are much better informed about the company and our activities. The activities we organize in collaboration with La Plume, such as a Spring Breakfast and a Vitality Week, are also well-received. Yes, I can already call this collaboration a success. La Plume is refreshing, cheerful, and always positive. And that positive drive is contagious!”

Michiel van der Eijk – Formerly Managing Director at Regional Jet Center BV (a KLM subsidiary), now Managing Director at KLM Catering Services
“In my role as Managing Director of the Regional Jet Center, I decided to enlist the help of La Plume Media to professionalize our internal communication. Together, we accomplished a great deal: a culture survey was conducted, we introduced new communication tools, and we placed a greater emphasis on pride and connection. It truly evolved into a partnership, not just a typical client-supplier relationship. Sometimes, that went quite far. For example, during the initial months of the pandemic, I’d be on the phone with La Plume up to three evenings a week to discuss what we were going to communicate. We agreed that we had to keep communicating to keep people engaged, but at the same time, there was constant uncertainty.
This required coordination, refinement, and adaptation. The flexibility La Plume demonstrated then was unique. I received feedback from employees that, through that form of communication, we had genuinely guided them through the crisis together.
When I moved to KLM Catering Services in 2023 and noticed that internal communication was being neglected, I decided to hire La Plume again. From the top of a company, you have to prioritize internal communication, and for a company of this size, it needs to be professionally organized. I chose not to establish a large internal communication department at KCS because we simply couldn’t build the expertise that La Plume has. Visuals and audio, graphics and text—you name it, they’ve got it. Furthermore, La Plume provides a listening ear, is exceptionally understanding, and has the intention of truly getting to know and understand the company. What do the employees need? And how can management best address that? La Plume also brings a certain independence. For instance, the Regional Jet Center had an editorial board, of which La Plume was a part. This allowed employees to say things they might not have readily shared with the management team. It’s an art to convey information from the organization in an appropriate way while preserving the core message. La Plume masters that like no other!”

Martijn Rengers – Vice President Human Resources at Solar Netherlands
“After we determined our ‘why,’ the next step was to bring it to life for Solar’s employees. How do you ensure people are inspired by it? La Plume Media had the answer. As a professional workshop facilitator, experienced event organizer, and with a relevant network at her disposal, Veerle brought a lot of added value to this project. For me, it was a very pleasant collaboration, both in terms of content and on a personal level.
What I find to be the most surprising element of our collaboration is La Plume’s incredible flexibility. Firstly, by thinking along with us and adapting to our wishes without pushing their own preconceived plan. Secondly, and this is what really sets them apart, by making seemingly impossible last-minute requests a reality. It happened to me multiple times that I would present a request to Veerle and think, ‘I almost don’t dare to ask, because this isn’t feasible.’ And what happened? La Plume arranged it! From printed materials needed at the last minute to support a workshop, to extra activities added at the eleventh hour—I find it unbelievably impressive that La Plume manages to pull it off time and again.”

Femke Sanders – Formerly Global Manager Communications at Prothya Bisolutions, now Manager Marketing & Communications at Ksyos
“Building a new, globally operating organization requires a solid foundation. La Plume Media made significant contributions to the foundation of our communications department. In the beginning of our collaboration, La Plume developed and implemented a new corporate identity, worked out the corporate story and core values, designed materials and gadgets, built a completely new website, and set up new internal communication channels. Subsequently, La Plume helped with internal campaigns and increasing employee engagement.
One project that was truly impressive was the webcast that Prothya and La Plume put together from scratch in early 2023 to kick off the new work year. In a relatively short time, we worked together to create a broadcast that is still being talked about at Prothya! Because all of our locations watched the webcast simultaneously and were in live contact with each other, many colleagues felt like they were truly part of an international company for the first time. That was exactly what we were aiming for, of course!
I found this to be a wonderfully fun project to work on. It’s always a pleasure to collaborate with the people at La Plume. They are not only flexible and professional but also easy to get along with. For example, I enjoy visiting their office in Haarlem when we have something to discuss because of the great atmosphere. I look forward to building on the foundation we have laid together in the coming period.”

Pepijn van Dam – HR Manager at Security Nederland
“Workrate is growing, which means more and more ‘Workraters’ are starting work at various client locations. The need for good communication with all colleagues, both at the head office and at our clients’ sites, grew proportionally. The biggest question was how to maintain a connection with each other during a time of so much change. We had plenty of ideas for this, but we simply lacked the capacity to execute them. We needed a company that would take the lead in turning our many ideas into actions.
That’s exactly what La Plume did—and continues to do—for us! They stay on top of us and keep us focused in a practical, involved, and enthusiastic way. Their hands-on approach ensures that we don’t just plan; we actually get things done. As a result, Workrate has made a huge professional leap in its communication culture. Now, a well-filled monthly internal newsletter is published, the necessary infographics, flyers, and stories are created, and we go all out with our staff events. And all thanks to that great group of people in Haarlem!
What sets them apart from other agencies? We can have open and goal-oriented conversations with each other. No ‘fluff,’ but a wonderfully down-to-earth approach. It’s a fantastic fit for Workrate’s motto: say what you do, and do what you say. That really defines the people at La Plume!”

Paul van der Wardt – Formerly General Manager at Martinair, now Finance Director Component Services at KLM E&M
“For as long as I can remember, Veerle has been a presence here, supporting us with our communication in the broadest sense. Her contributions range from developing communication plans to their practical execution, such as writing texts. What I find so impressive is that Veerle can empathize with situations flawlessly without being involved with the subject matter on a daily basis. These aren’t the easiest topics, and it’s challenging to grasp the right sentiment. This makes me admire even more the fact that Veerle always manages to capture the right message in her communication. Martinair is a complex operational organization; internal communication requires great care. La Plume understands this like no one else and collaborates with us on it.
Additionally, the people at La Plume have creative minds. They often choose an original approach, which allows them to convey a business message in a more relaxed and lighthearted way. This has been a tremendous help to us. I have come to know La Plume Media as an accessible and professional partner that is always flexible when something needs to be delivered quickly, without compromising on quality or care. Knowing this makes working with La Plume very pleasant. And let’s not forget: there is always time to catch up before we dive into the content. That, too, is a very nice quality of the people at La Plume!”

Erik de Goeij – Former CEO at Scarabee Aviation Group
Internal communications is incredibly important to a company. La Plume Media understands this and consistently delivers high-quality internal newsletters for Scarabee Aviation Group. Time and again, the team is able to translate the input from various employees into clear and accessible newsletter items, which form a coherent whole despite the variety of subjects. They have a good feel for the interests at stake and always know how to find the right tone. More often than not, half a word is enough to understand what I expect as a customer. That’s clever! In addition to effective and clear communication, I also find the responsiveness of the team a real asset. Individuals respond quickly and deliver within the requested deadline. I would definitely recommend La Plume Media!

Els Reinders – Former Communications Manager at Sogeti, currently a Communications Advisor at Triade Vitree
“What characterizes La Plume Media is that they always exceed your expectations. La Plume has a broad outlook and is bursting with ideas. This collaborative approach is incredibly refreshing. La Plume Media has taken on several projects for Sogeti, both in the field of internal communications and job market communication. It started with various internal comms texts, but soon expanded to include activities such as La Plume Media mapping out Sogeti’s job matrix and translating it into clear textual descriptions for each job profile, including potential transfer opportunities. The team at La Plume also rewrote numerous vacancy texts and optimized the onboarding process for new employees. La Plume came up with the idea of turning all the onboarding topics into easy-to-use videos, so that everyone would have access to the same information. This provided a useful set of reference resources for new employees but was equally useful for existing employees. That translation from text to image and sound really surprised me at the time! La Plume Media really helped me provide effective communications for Sogeti. The staff take a critical and fun approach and always aim to achieve the best result. That’s precisely why I have asked La Plume Media for help again where I work now (Triade Vitree). I have no doubt that the projects we will work on in the future are certain to produce great results!”

Kayleigh van Oorschot – Senior Project Leader at Stichting Schoolinfo
“After nine years of working on educational innovation, it was time for the Schoolinfo Foundation to share the lessons we’d learned. We had extremely tight and unrealistic deadlines to do that and La Plume Media helped us to commit our story to paper within three months. And what a great result! A beautiful book with more than 100 pages. We are incredibly grateful for all their help and expertise!
A few highlights of our partnership (and their professionalism) include:
1. Short lines of communication and personal contact: we needed a partnership that focused on our culture and needs and every La Plume employee we dealt with had the same open and action-oriented communication style
2. High quality standards and a realistic outlook: we had grand plans and many ambitions and La Plume really helped us work out what could and could not be realized while ensuring high quality
3. Unfailing support and customer-oriented: during the preparations, they looked very closely at what we, as a foundation, wanted to convey and were then very flexible and decisive in dealing with our feedback: if we wanted the cover to be slightly different, that was no problem, because La Plume wanted us to be proud of and happy with the end result.

Saskia Baas – Facilities Manager at Blokker
“In January 2019, Blokker moved to a new head office with a new office concept: from office cubicles to an open-plan office landscape. This was pretty stressful for the 250 head office employees. I turned to La Plume Media to guide them through this change and to organize a light-hearted opening event for the new office building. A few years earlier, I had seen from the sidelines how La Plume Media handled communications about the Intertoys move and I knew I could leave communications to them without any worries. In the run-up to the move, La Plume Media came up with creative communications items to inform Blokker employees and get them excited. We built a relocation wall to count down the days until the move and produced a weekly relocation newsletter. In addition, various relocation gadgets were introduce to decorate our building and La Plume Media playfully copied the Blokker TV commercial with our office staff with the slogan ‘Blokker has a new home’. The day of the move itself was a huge celebration, during which employees were introduced to their new offices through QR games. The relocation could not have been communicated better! La Plume Media is professional, takes a personal approach and has a great deal of experience. Highly recommended!”

Renier Thoen – Transformation Manager at Bart Smit Intertoys, now Commercial Director Albert Heijn Vos supermarkets
“Professional, thorough, fast and creative. To me, that’s what characterizes La Plume Media. During the Bart Smit and Intertoys merger, I spent a lot of time working with La Plume’s Veerle as Transformation Manager. As a communications expert, she was part of our transformation team and knew better than anyone how we could use internal communications to involve the various target groups within the two organizations in this major change. The way she bridged the gap between the organization and the employees, and between the employees themselves, was highly professional. After we had determined a clear strategy, both office staff and the operations and store teams of the new Intertoys were informed about the reorganization through newsletters, staff magazines, events and the interactive intranet ‘Speakap’ tool. All of the communications provided by the team at La Plume allowed us to offer a clear direction and keep everyone on the same page. I now work as a Commercial Director at Albert Heijn Vos supermarket and continued my partnership with La Plume Media. Together, we organized a Proud of Haarlem campaign to support and raise the spirits of Haarlem residents with colorful posters and a coloring competition during the COVID-19 pandemic. La Plume makes a great partner!”

Floor Dijkgraaf – Director of DON (Diabetes Research Netherlands)
“As far as we are concerned, La Plume stands for:
Loads of enthusiasm and always ready with a big smile
Audiovisual skills and originality
Professionalism with a contemporary twist
Love for the profession
Unbridled commitment and expertise
Multi-purpose versatility. Whether it’s communications issues or hard-hitting videos
Excellent support on a tight deadline – true La Plume team members are always there to help!”

Olivier Hofman – Communications and PR Manager at VBDO
“The assignments I have outsourced to La Plume Media have been both diverse and challenging. Every time, without exception, they have delivered on time and exceeded my expectations. La Plume Media is reliable, creative and transparent and any coordination takes place seamlessly. This is a communications agency that, in my experience, is unrivaled.”

Anita van der Voort – Founder and president at Foundation Eigen Wij
The partnerhship between La Plume Media and the Eigen Wij Foundation came about through the volunteer platform De Nieuwe Gevers.
“It was love at first sight!
Our hearts jumped for joy when De Nieuwe Gevers informed us that La Plume Media wanted to help us with our very first donor campaign. La Plume Media… wow! Such a cool and professional agency.
La Plume immediately understood who we are, what our foundation stands for and what we need. It only took a nod for them to turn their genius creative ideas into actions!
Our foundation is completely unaccustomed to having an arsenal of professionals at our disposal, but La Plume handled this very well.
A clear plan, good deadlines, fantastic out-of-the-box ideas, amazing collaboration and, to top it all off, ‘Head of the La Plume mission’ Veerle joining our board. It’s something we never imagined in our wildest dreams and sometimes we still have to pinch ourselves to see if it really is true. So yes – we think that sense of love at first sight was mutual ;).”

Jelte Altena – Project leader at Hardt Hyperloop
“In 2019, Hardt Hyperloop and key partners unveiled the first-ever working magnetic track for the hyperloop. It was crucial technology that we were eager to share with the world. In order to realize the greatest reach possible, we organized an event with a talk show format, with roundtable discussions with the Minister of Infrastructure Cora van Nieuwenhuizen and European Commissioner for Transport Violeta Bulc. The program included talks, presentations and a countdown to the unveiling of the track and the entire event was broadcast live. La Plume Media provided the script, supervised the speakers and presenter and was responsible for directing. The result was a smooth, energetic broadcast that is still fresh in the minds of our partners a year later. La Plume Media was heavily involved from the start and was able to switch gears quickly. Hardt Hyperloop relies on high-quality, innovative and crystal-clear presentations that make complex future innovations understandable to a wide audience. With the help of La Plume Media, we more than succeeded!”

Kyra Scherrenberg – Marketing and PR Manager at Boelens de Gruyter
*Appending non-existent material to existing imagery. In this case, a future building on footage of an existing location.
“La Plume Media has created several videos for Boelens de Gruyter, showcasing our real estate. One of the videos was for a pitch to an international investor. We wanted a dynamic video that portrayed our buildings in a lively and attractive way. Some of the projects were still unfinished, but La Plume Media managed to render these buildings very realistically using ‘set extension’*. That’s what I like about La Plume Media: they are always happy to work and consult with us. They are a hard-working bunch who also offer great value for money. At La Plume Media, I know that I can throw an assignment ‘over the fence’ and not have to worry.”

Jean-Paul Schaddé van Dooren – Co-Founder Cityguys.nl
“La Plume Media enthusiastically took up the challenhe to help Cityguys.co.uk set up a high-quality YouTube channel. What I like about La Plume Media in particular is that the team is so versatile. Whether it’s texts for a medical institution or films for a commercial organization, the team can do it all. Every time I visit the La Plume Media office in Haarlem, I notice how the team combines professionalism with warmth and a friendly face: they work incredibly hard, but there is always room for fun. I have never heard anyone say ‘no’ at La Plume; they always go the extra mile for the customer. They are heroes.”

“I have enjoyed working with La Plume Media and would like to share a testimonial.”
