NEP – the leading international player for high-quality TV and webcasts – has been hosting ASML‘s Technology Conference for many years. And La Plume Media has been happy to take on responsibility of providing the script and directing the show for almost as long .

Due to COVID-19, this year’s Technology Conference was held online entirely for the first time and it was down to NEP to ensure that it didn’t have to compromise on quality in any way. NEP engaged digital production company MediaMonks to build an interactive online platform and hired La Plume Media to take on the script, production, final editing and web content.

For ten weeks, daily calls were held on building, consulting about and developing the event at a whirlwind pace. The result was a state-of-the-art online platform with several stages where, over a two-day conference, more than 16,000 unique visitors from 38 different countries were able to meet. More than eighty presentations were shown on the nine stages, where viewers could ask questions, give virtual applause and engage in conversations. Attendees were able to watch keynote presentations on the main stage, which were interspersed with live studio talks from a thirty-meter green screen studio focusing on showcasing and discussing technological highlights – using VR elements. Participants were also able to view and discuss over three hundred research posters.

Thanks to the creative application of the webcast medium, there were plenty of opportunities to gain and exchange knowledge. We are extremely proud to have participated in this groundbreaking production: it was a resounding success!
